First Moves

You may have found us on the internet, at an exhibition or been referred by a friend. Once you have contacted us we will work with you to establish what sort of proerty, location and price would best suit your requirements.

At this stage you will probably want to visit us in Spain and look at a selection of properties - Inspection Trip.

Signing Up

If you decide to go ahead whilst on an Inspection Trip you will normally return to the desired development to select a plot and then visit the Keysol office where a contract will be drawn up. If we are appointing a lwayer for you, you will be taken to meet them and the lawyer will explain everything in detail so that you area aware of what you are signing.

Upon signing you will make a payment of £2,000 GBP which will be converted on clearing to Euros and deducted from the final completion payment of the property.

If you decide to appoint your own solicitor you will take the contract home, get the contract checked and then return it signed.

Individual plots can be held whilst this is being done but normally only for a couple of days.

At this point we will arrange for a Spanish bank account to be opened for the client and, if required, a Spanish mortgage.

Within 30 days of signing the contract a payment usually equivalent to 40% of the purchase price must be paid.

A Waiting Game

Once the contract is signed and you are back home you will receive a pack explaining what happens next.

A member of Keysol staff will help you make the arrangements to make the stage payment (in Euros).

Completing Here or in Spain

Once you get close to completion you will be contacted by the Spanish office to make the final arrangements. Most clients will travel to Spain to do this but power of attorney can be passed to your solicitor if need be for a cost.

The Spanish office will liaise with you to make the necessary arrangements with the lawyers, banks and notaries office.
